Can't seem to save to SD even after following FAQ

Am running OS 8.0 on a Galaxy S7. I have taken a screenshot but can't see how to upload it here. Basically what I am being offered is:

[Default] /storage/emulated/0 (OK)
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data (limited)
/storage/0000-00000/Android/data (limited)
Your currently selected directory is:OK
/sdcard/DoggCatcher (browse button)

I have tried selecting /storage/0000-00000/Android/data and making that OK then selecting a directory on my SD drive but after the restart I still seem to be storing to the internal drive.
In addition to fixing this for me if you can, I strongly suggest you clarify what is displayed. At present it isn't actually clear which folder Doggcatcher is presently downloading to from reading the dialogue box. Is it the top one (marked default)? It would be great if you could make "save to SD card" the default where one is available, allowing for further customisation of folder etc as an advanced option...

I tried to save an error log but that crashed DC and didn't save!

Can't seem to save to SD

From you device settings...enable storage permissions (Device Settings>Apps>All Apps>DoggCatcher>Permissions)

Then from the app (DC Navigation Menu>Settings>Miscellaneous>Storage Directory) select /storage/0000-00000/Android/data (limited)

I just checked and I also now

I just checked and I also now have a new doggcatcher folder inside my doggcatcher folder on my internal drive where podcasts are being downloaded to!

Have you tried another SD

Have you tried another SD card, new prefered? The current one you're using could be defective.

My camera saves to the SD

My camera saves to the SD card and does so successfully multiple times a day (I have checked and the files are there). Can you suggest anything else? If I can't fix this I will reluctantly have to consider a different podcasting app - I am continually running close to full internal memory at the moment alas.

The problem could be an issue

The problem could be an issue with the installation of the app, try uninstalling & reinstalling the app...but backup the app first

See FAQ post "Backup/Restore" http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/6668

Once the app is reinstalled, follow the instructions from the FAQ Post "Why am I experiencing external storage (SD Cards) " http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/6493

Then run restore, once the restore is complete..you will probably have to repoint the app to the external storage limited directory /storage/0000-00000/Android/data (limited)

To be on the safeside if the problem is the SD card, I would backup your pictures and any other media stored on it
