Mapping of Prius Audio System Buttons to DC Configuration

Hello,

I'm finding that figuring out the mapping of DC button configuration options to the controls on my Prius Entune System is hit and miss. The Prius touch screen and hard controls present themselves as a touch screen play/pause widget, a dial (right side) to scroll back or forward, a press function on this same button, a volume control and rockers to scroll up or down.

Is there a document that shows how these hardware controls map to DC configuration options. I've looked, but no luck as yet.

Thank you.

John

You can change DC headset

You can change DC headset button press reactions (In the DC Menu>Settings>Headset/Lockscreen)

CD headset button mappings

There does not seem to be a mapping between headset previous button press and CD previous. Am I missing something, or is this correct.

Thank you.

The previous isn't there

The previous isn't there because at the time, I couldn't think of a scenario for using it...sounds like you've got one.

Hi Eric,

Hi Eric,

Some of my favorite podcasts, Piano Puzzler, Weekend Puzzle on NPR, are comparatively short and worth listening to a second time -- particularly piano puzzler. It would be convenient for me to be able to dial back to hear it a second time.

I suppose one challenge is that when a podcast is done playing, it is a) marked completed and therefore b)dropped of the playlist. So, how to go back to it?

Kinda OT, but figuring out how the Prius "headset" controls map is a bit annoying and undocumented. Any guidance much appreciated.

Lovin' Doggcatcher, I might say. Nice job all around.

Yep, I get it.

Yep, I get it.

When figuring out the mappings, it may help to open up the DC event log. That'll show each BT event as they happen.

Headset Button Mappings

Let me try to be more clear, more specific. The DC actions that can be mapped to one or more headset buttons seem to be:
REWIND
PAUSE/PLAY
FAST FORWARD
NEXT

I do not see an PREVIOUS action in the mappable action list. Am I reading this correctly?
Thanks again.

Yup! You're right

Yup! You're right, there isn't a mapping action for "Previous" - Eric (Developer) will respond later about this issue.
