Episode lock critically needed

I switched from Podcast Addict because I preferred the style of DC (paid version), but I really need the episode lock function in DC that already exists in PA: episodes delete themselves automatically in DC, but sometimes I need to save an episode for later. Being able to quickly hit a button (ideally in the widget that displays on the lock screen to save precious seconds and to make it easier to hit while driving) and prevent the episode from being deleted at the end of playback is of utmost importance to me.

I see that there are threads discussing this feature going back to at least 2011 - any idea when it might be implemented?
