DC constantly restarting / crashing? too many feeds?

Recently I was able to successfully import my podcast feed list of about 120 sites from podnova, and have noticed that since doing so, DC seems to be crashing and restarting more frequently.

Does DC have a limit of feeds? Sometimes it restarts when i'm scrolling down the list, others it crashes when moving to the next item in my play list.

Love the program, happy with it - just frustrated that this started happening, just when I decided to use my myTouch3g as what I listen to my podcasts on...

Help!

-Les

Please send me the logs

It shouldn't be crashing...I'd really like to get to the bottom of this as it's the only crashing bug that I'm aware of at the moment.

Could you please email two things to support at snoggdoggler.com

1 - Debug log - there's a DC menu item for this. Just be sure to email it within 10 minutes of a crash.
2 - Backups - do a backup in the DC menu and email me what's in the /sdcard/DoggCatcher/export directory. If this is too much hassle, you can skip it and I'll see what I can learn from the logs.

I've got your log

I can see that it's dying when trying to display one of the feed thumbnails. I have seen this happen before when a feed had a huge image for a thumbnail. The problem is that I can't tell which feed has the problem.

If you can do a backup (in the DC menu) and email me the database.../sdcard/doggcatcher/export/databases/rss.

From that I should be able to identify the feed. I would really like to be able to reproduce it so I can handle the exception in a more friendly way.

I've created an issue for this and should be able to get a fix into the next release. If we can identify the feed, we can delete it for now until the next release comes out.

Possible Fix

I think I have this fixed.

I just released a version to the beta testers with some other fixes and this one also. I added your account to a beta tester group, so you can download the release in the forums. I'll send you a separate email with instructions for downloading.

Thanks once again for posting the problem, I hope this fix works for you.
