Keeps Downloading Old Episodes

On one of my feeds - DG is downloading podcasts from two months ago even though I flagged these as done.

Also, is there a way to say "Only download podcasts no older than XX days old?"

Sometimes I don't launch DG for a long time and only want to 2 most recent episodes.

Thanks,
Brian

Sometime publishers change

Sometime publishers change data about the episodes that cause re-downloads. You could try changing the episode identifier feed option for that feed to 'guid', or filename if it's already guid.

You can also configure the auto download policy for the feed to keep the most recent 2...that's in the feed options also.

Thanks for posting.

Eric - thanks. The auto

Eric - thanks. The auto download though seems like its takes just 2 - but not necessarily the 2 most recent.

It should get the two most

It should get the two most recent that are blue (new). Is that not what's happening?

Old Episodes Continually Download

I'm having a problem where two episodes of "This American Life" continually download.

I’ll observe that the two episodes are entered into the queue and both download completely. If I leave the application and reenter the application the same two episodes will download again. I’ve tried deleting the feed and re-subscribing but the problem begins again.

I burned up 26GB of data one month before I spotted the issue. (Good thing I’m grandfathered on an unlimited plan with Verizon.)

This American Life Feed

Long press on each episode, select delete media & also flag as done, then update the feed & see if the episodes download again or not.

I've had this issue before

I've had this issue before too. In the end the only way I could find to fix it was to uninstall DC entirely, and then reinstall and re-add the feed list from .opml.

HTH,
