DETAILS:
DoggCatcher Version: 1.2.3945
Device: Motorola Droid X
Android Build: 2.3.4
Carrier: PagePlus with data deactivated (WiFi only)
SUMMARY:
I purchased DoggCatcher awhile ago and it worked fine for a bit and downloaded a few podcasts. Now, every time it tries to download, it gives an error that the download failed. The application log event gives the following:
------
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /mnt/sdcard/DoggCatcher/EpisodeEnclosures/[filename].mp3.PART (Read-only files system)
Cause: Cannot write to file system. It is possible that the storage directory preference is incorrectly set or the file system is not available.
------
Is it not possible to save podcasts on the SD card? This seems unlikely, but I saw some posts to this effect with this version of Android.
Thanks in advance for any help!
There is post with the same issue, see http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/2021 could be a hardware or Android problem. You should check your service provider or device manufacturer customer service rep & let them know, they should have fix for this issue.
I forgot to mention in the original post that rebooting the device usually fixes it.
